Update Two

Our second update of our project! This update talks about how we changed and modified what we wanted our end result to look like by speaking to others and discovering what was possible in our limited timeframe.

Like all large projects, our initial idea was blown out of proportion. The initial excitement of the project made us think that our pathway to success was going to be a smooth straight road, however we quickly discovered the bumps and twists that were to come. Our initial idea was to have a very high number of these sunscreen stations around the community. In our eyes, every local park, beach and field would have a Te Rā Sunscreen Station on it. But as our financial team had a closer look at the situation they discovered that money was quickly going to become an issue. After speaking to countless teachers about getting our eco-friendly t-shirts up and running we also discovered that the t-shirt idea was a large project in itself that we did not have the time for. Instantly our minds shifted to fundraiser campaigns like sausage sizzles in our own school or mufti days to raise the funds however upon bringing this idea forward, we were shut down as too many of these events had happened recently and the school was not able to allow us to ask for money from the students.
